The press runs on its own. Every one of the fourteen shape parameters eases toward a fresh random target, the noise field itself flows so veins migrate rather than merely reshape, and the palette cross-fades through twelve quarries with a pause on each — the slab is never the same stone twice. Hold freezes it and re-renders at full preview detail; Drift lets it move again. Touching any slider holds automatically, so an adjustment you make actually sticks.

Save PNG holds first, then re-renders exactly the slab on screen at up to 3840 × 2160. The renderer is resolution-independent — pixel geometry is measured against a 720-line reference — so the file is the preview cut finer, not an upscale. The export runs in time-sliced chunks with progress next to the buttons and arrives as marble-3-<seed>-<palette>-<size>.png.

A seed is a whole specimen: the noise field, the palette and every parameter’s starting value. Generate draws a new one; typing a seed back in returns to that specimen’s canonical cut, from which drift departs again.
