Eight-a-Side Soccer

A full top-down 8v8 soccer match — dribble, thread through balls, and steer your shots past diving keepers, with corners, throw-ins and a CPU team to beat.

Eight-a-Side Soccer

A complete full-pitch eight-a-side match seen from above. You control the blue team one player at a time — the game hands you whoever is closest to the action — while your AI teammates hold formation, make runs and cover for you. The red CPU team presses, passes around you and shoots on sight, with both goalkeepers diving, parrying and punting the ball back upfield. Throw-ins, corners and goal kicks keep the match flowing, and the scoreboard clock decides it at full time.

Keyboard:

KeyAction
WASD / ArrowsMove the highlighted player
Z (tap)Ground pass, aimed with your movement direction · poke tackle next to the ball, switch player otherwise (defending)
Z (hold)Lofted long ball — the blue ring sets the distance, released into a runner’s path
CThrough ball, driven into the space ahead of a teammate’s run
X (hold)Charge a shot — steer the aim reticle with ↑/↓ and pull back (←) to chip the keeper
ShiftSprint — the ball runs further ahead of you for a faster, riskier touch
QManually switch to the player nearest the ball

Touch: drag on the left half for the virtual stick (push to the edge to sprint). On the right, tap PASS (hold for a lofted ball), tap THRU for a through ball, and hold SHOOT to charge — steer the aim with the stick while holding.

Tips:

  • The shot reticle shows exactly where the ball is going — aim for the far corner, away from the keeper’s feet, and he can barely reach it.
  • Keep the charge inside the white notch: power beyond it makes the shot wild.
  • Keepers now need a beat to react — a quick low tap-shot from close range beats them before they move.
  • Pull back while charging near the box to chip: the ball sails over the keeper’s hands but needs room to come down.
  • A through ball (C) into your striker’s run is the fastest route behind the defence — the receiver flashes blue so you know who’s taking it.
  • Receiving is assisted: when a pass is coming to you, let go of the stick and your player runs to meet it and kills it dead — even chest-high lobs.
  • Defending, Z next to the dribbler is a safe poke tackle; X is the risky lunge (you can bend a slide mid-flight). Chasing the ball bends your run onto it automatically.
  • Switching prefers the defender who is goal-side of the ball, so you’re handed someone who can actually stop the attack; the keeper parries hard shots back into play, so follow up for rebounds.
